Murray Low
LeadershipSmarts Founder

Murray has designed and implemented major corporate change initiatives for 19 years. He helps improve organizations, teams and their leaders on the human side of change by helping them surface and effectively address sensitive issues. Murray is a master certified trainer/coach/consultant and speaker in Crucial Conversations®, Crucial Confrontations, and Influencer, award-winning training programs based on New York Times bestsellers. Murray teaches and coaches leaders to successfully handle extremely sensitive issues and how to guide organization-wide changes. He helps increase influence as leaders learn to respectfully and candidly address the most challenging problems, e.g., mistrust, personality conflicts, project management, hidden agendas, accountability, resource allocation, cross-generational gaps, etc.


Bob Yamashita
Senior Client Partner

Bob Yamashita is a senior client partner with LeadershipSmarts.  As a Consultant and Strategist, Bob has extensive experience in human capital and organization development. He has designed and facilitated organizational change initiatives in both the public and private sectors, including the development of team-based environments and self-directed work teams. As an Executive Coach and Seminar Leader, he provides coaching to high potential candidates, senior managers and executives in all aspects of personal and leadership effectiveness, in providing valuable growth experiences for individuals.  He is also active internationally, designing and conducting high impact workshops covering an array of professional development areas including Leadership Development, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Human Communications, and Team Building.  Bob is certified in the use and delivery of numerous workshops and instruments, including Crucial Conversations , Influencer,  7 Habits of Highly Effective People, MBTI, and Strength Deployment Inventory.  He is also a training consultant to the Franklin-Covey organization and the University of Calgary. He has  held various consulting and management roles with leading organizations including Nortel Networks, the University of Alberta, Gulf Canada, and TransCanada Corporation.


Stephan Brandt
Stephan comes to LeadershipSmarts most recently from ctc TrainCanada where he worked with many HR and IT leaders to build enterprise-wide competency and productivity through individual and team training.  Stephan brings extensive experience working with large organizations to implement best practices and enable greater agility and decision-making capability through the application of technology and process improvement.  Stephan has also taken active leadership roles within the community for many years.



Mike Allen
Mike Allen spent 16 years in the oil and gas industry reaching the position of Corporate Director of Quality and Training for North America’s largest well servicing company.  A Master Certified Trainer in Crucial Confrontations, Mike is a change leader in the safety industry, having been a feature presenter for the International Association of Drilling Contractors, Texas Worker’s Compensation and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Some of Mike’s safety clients include Schlumberger, Conoco Phillips, Monsanto, Pride International, BP, Key Energy Services, Stallion Oilfield Services, the Southern Gas Association and Lee County Electric Co-op.
